Classic Table Pad Construction There are a few table pad manufacturers that still construct their table pads using layers of cardboard stacked together. One stack of cardboard has vinyl applied with adhesives, the second stack of cardboard is covered with a flannel, felt, or velvet flocking type material also applied with adhesives. Both stacks of cardboard are then machine-sewn together. Each table pad is reinforced where it folds in half.
